When you come to the St. George and Zion National Park region, you have many travel options.
By Road
By road, Interstate 15 traverses the area, and Las Vegas is about a two hour drive to the west, while Salt Lake City is four and a half hours to the north on the freeway. The intersection of Interstate 15 and Interstate 70 is only about two hours north of St. George.
Please note: Road construction will take place (Summer / Fall - 2010) on highway 9 near the Zion National Park tunnel and, at times, the road may be inaccessible to through traffic. Click here for more details.
By Air
Delta Airlines serves St. George from its Salt Lake City (SLC) hub with several daily flights. All flights are operated by regional carrier SkyWest Airlines and easily connect with national and international flights; contact Delta for reservations. Las Vegas is only about two hours away on Interstate 15. Many national and international airlines directly serve Las Vegas McCarran International Airport (LAS) from more than 80 cities. By Shuttle/Motorcoach
Many coach and shuttle companies offer services from Salt Lake City and Las Vegas.
The city of St. George operates SunTran as its public bus service. Three routes serve more than 60 stops from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8:00 a.m to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The busses are equipped with bike racks. Call 435-673-8726 for more information.
